When the Glass Slipper Doesn’t Fit is a clever, witty and down-to-earth look at who we women are – really. I dare you to read it and not see yourself on every page.
The authors, Claire Clonginger and Karla Worley use fairy tales to show us in a practical way how we try to escape reality like day dreaming about a Prince Charming or put ourselves down by seeing ourselves as ugly ducklings. The book reads like a novel – you won’t be able to put it down – but each of the ten chapters is complete in itself.
You will laugh. You might even cry but I promise you this, you will thoroughly enjoy the experience. Several friends from round the world and I are studying it chapter by chapter (as a Bible Study) in an internet hook up. It seems to us as though the writers have been reading our minds. Are you ready to take a look? Why not form a group of your own – a home group perhaps. Even if you are not a Christian it will speak volumes in your everyday world.
Have you kissed any frogs lately? Do you whistle while you work? Mirror, mirror on the wall…
